What is an organization?

The tenant that owns your social accounts, API keys, billing and limits, and how memberships fit in.

The organization is the tenant in InvisibleAPI. Every resource you work with belongs to exactly one organization: social accounts, publish jobs, API keys, billing, and limits.

What an organization owns

  • Social accounts. A connected Instagram or X account belongs to the organization, not to the person who connected it. If that person leaves, the account stays.
  • API keys. Keys are organization-scoped. A key can only reach the resources of the organization it was created in.
  • Billing. The subscription, the trial, and the source count are per organization. $9 a month covers 2 sources, and each additional source adds $5 a month.
  • Limits. Publishing quotas are tracked per organization and per connected account: 100 posts per account per billing period.

Members and roles

People join an organization through a membership with a role: owner, admin, member, or viewer. See Member roles for what each role can do.

Why this matters

Everything in the API is organization-scoped. The publishing endpoint, for example, is POST /api/v1/organizations/{organization}/publishing/jobs. Calling another organization's resources fails, even with a valid login, because membership is enforced on every organization-scoped endpoint.
