Invitations are email-based. An owner or admin invites an address, and the invitee accepts through a tokenized link.

## Send an invitation

1. Open **Members** in the dashboard and choose Invite.
2. Enter the person's email address and pick a role: admin, member, or viewer. See [Member roles](/docs/organizations/member-roles/).
3. Send. The invitation appears in the Invitations list while it is pending.

## Accept an invitation

The invitee opens the link from the email, which lands on the accept page with its token. They sign in (or sign up first) and accept. From that moment they are a member of the organization with the invited role.

## Notes

- An invitation grants membership in one organization. People can belong to several organizations, each with its own role.
- Pending invitations are listed in the dashboard, so you can see who has not accepted yet.
